Prof. Ofra Benny

Ofra Benny is a Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Hebrew University and the head of The laboratory for Nanomedicine at School of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Medicine- since 2013. Her lab focuses on bioengineering, drug delivery and tissue engineering. Prof. Benny is the author of > 60 scientific papers in leading journals, including Nature Biotechnology, Science Advances, Science Translational Medicine and more. She is the co-founder of start-up companies based on her lab technology in oncology field. She holds many Prizes, patents and holds many grants including the prestige Horizons 2020 ERC-Starter and two ERC-POC grants. Ofra earned her P.hD in Biotechnology Engineering from the Technion, and completed her postdoc in the leading lab of the late Prof. Judah Folkman, in the Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
