Prof. Zvi Peleg

Prof. Zvi Peleg is an associate professor at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.  He received his Ph.D. in 2008 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and performed postdoctoral training at the University of California, Davis, USA.  Prof. Peleg's research focused on quantitative genetics of crops under changing climate.  The research in Peleg's lab combines in-depth physiology with genetics and sensing approaches.  His research and sesame breeding program harnesses the wide genetic diversity of this important crop for the improvement of yield and quality.  Recently, he founded a new startup company 'MaxSum Seeds', that commercializes innovative sesame verities worldwide.
